How to give consent and set up denials of consent
Log in to MyKanta at kanta.fi. You can identify yourself using your online banking credentials or similar.
Select the 'Tietojen käytön hallinta' section(Management of Data Use) .
You can see in MyKanta when you received information about the Kanta Services, i.e. a notification of how the data recorded in Kanta can be used in social welfare and health care services. If you have not received the latest information about the Kanta Services, it will open up as a notification when you log in to MyKanta.
In the same section, you can also see the information about your valid consent to data sharing and denials of consent to data sharing. You can choose to give consent to data sharing, update existing consent and set denials of consent.
Consent and denials of consent affect how social welfare and health care professionals can use the information stored about you in your care.
You can also receive information about the Kanta Services and issue consent to data sharing or denials of consent to data sharing during health care visits if you do not wish to use MyKanta.
