Interruptions in the services in September 2024
Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
4 September: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible
Time: 4 September 2024 between 8.30pm and 00.30am
Kanta-service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

18 September: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible
Time: 18 September 2024 between 8pm and midnight
Short interruptions may affect the following:
- the issuing of prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights.
- Kelain service
- the transfer of electronic prescriptions and patient summaries between EU countries
- Valvira’s role and attribute service.

24 September: Short interruptions in the use of Kanta Services possible
Time: 24 September 2024 between 7.30am and 8.30am
The Kanta Services is carrying out technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services:
- National code server
- Maintenance user interface of the SOTE organisation register in the Kanta Extranet

24 September: Service break in Kanta Services
Time: 24 September 2024 between 8am and 10am
Maintenance work will be carried out in the Kanta Services, affecting the use of the following services:
- Kanta Extranet
- Kelain.
Kanta Extranet will not be available during the service interruption.
For Kelain, it will not be possible to register a new user or modify the customer information of a previously registered user.
24 September: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible
Time: 24 September 2024 between 8.30pm and 0.30am
Kanta-service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

The maintenance work has been canceled – 25 September: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible
Time: 25 September 2024 between 7am and 5pm
We will be carrying out technical maintenance on the Kanta services. This may affect health and social care professionals’ access to the Archive of old patient data service.

28 September: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela
Time: 28 September 2024 between 6am and 8pm
Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.
During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.

28 September: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: 28 September 2024 between 8.30am and 9am
Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance, as a result of which there will be an interruption in the following services:
- MyKanta
- My Kanta Personal Health Record: authorization
- Kanta Extranet

30 September: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible
Time: 30 September 2024 between 10am and 3pm
Due to maintenance work carried out in the data system of European Commission, there will be an interruption in the following Kanta services:
- Delivery of e-prescriptions between different EU countries
- Delivery of patient summary to Estonia and Spain
