Services and use

The Patient Data Repository is a healthcare service data system in active use, and it is used with the patient records system. It allows centralised electronic archiving of patient records and long-term storage of the data.

Priorities of the Kanta Services

In 2024, the development of the Kanta services will focus on, among other things, support for the development of digitalisation in health and social services organisations, and the updating of MyKanta.

Patient Data Repository

Patient data stored in the Patient Data Repository is up to date and secure, and can be used by health care professionals across regional and organisational boundaries.

Prescription

The Prescription Service is used to store and manage information about prescriptions and the dispensing of medication. Storing the data in one place improves the continuity of care and the flow of information.

Client Data Repository for Social Welfare Services

Client data stored in the Client Data Repository for Social Welfare Services is easily and securely available to social care professionals. In addition, the information is visible to clients in MyKanta.

Archivist’s User Interface

The Archivist’s User Interface is a web user interface, providing a view to the controller's data in the Patient Data Repository and the client data repository for social welfare services.

Kelain

Kelain is a service that enables issuing of electronic prescriptions. It is a good alternative for private use by a doctor or dentist who is not employed by the healthcare service or who does not operate as an independent professional practitioner.

MyKanta Personal Health Record

Personal Health Record is a Kanta service in which users may enter information on their wellbeing. In future users may give their consent to social and healthcare service providers for the use of the data in support of decisions concerning their health and wellbeing, as well as an aid for diagnostic purposes.
