The receipt of Kanta information can be confirmed in My Kanta Pages or when visiting a healthcare provider
The receipt of Kanta information can be confirmed in My Kanta Pages or when visiting a healthcare provider. The new Kanta information includes updated details about Kanta Services, the storage of your customer data in the Kanta services and the use of your data in social welfare and healthcare services.
When you log in to My Kanta Pages, a notification will open in a new window on the front page. You or someone acting on your behalf will only be able to access My Kanta Pages after confirming the receipt of Kanta information.
You can also receive the Kanta information in writing, through an electronic service, or verbally when you visit a healthcare provider.
What is Kanta information?
Kanta information is a package of information about the Kanta Services, such as My Kanta Pages, and the principles for the use of client and patient data in social welfare and healthcare services. Kanta information also provides information on how you can influence how your data is used.
If you have not received Kanta information, you will not be able to influence how your data is used by giving your consent to the sharing of your data or setting up a denial of consent to data sharing.
Why is the Kanta information being reissued?
When the welfare services counties start operating from the beginning of next year, your data may be used more extensively across the social welfare and healthcare services when you receive care or services. In the Uusimaa region, a temporary right of access to data will be implemented to facilitate the smooth transfer of data between service providers in the region. We also explain these changes in the new Kanta information.
