Interruptions in the services in March 2024
Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
16 March: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela
Time: 16 March 2024 between 6am and 8pm
Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.
During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
16 March: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: 16 March 2024 between 6am and 10am
Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance, as a result of which there will be an interruption in the following services:
- MyKanta
- My Kanta Personal Health Record: authorization
- Kanta Extranet
Please try to access the service again after the interruption, if necessary.
16 March: Service break in Kanta Services
Time: 16 March 2024 between 7am and 7pm
Maintenance work will be carried out in the Kanta Services, affecting the use of the following services:
- Kanta Extranet
- Kelain.
Kanta Extranet will not be available during the service interruption.
For Kelain, it will not be possible to register a new user or modify the customer information of a previously registered user.
17 March: Possible interruptions in the use of the Kanta Services
Time: 17 March 2024 between 9am and 3pm
Due to maintenance measures carried out in the Suomi.fi web service, there may be interruptions in the following services:
- Acting on behalf of another person
- MyKanta: logging in to the service
- Kanta Ekstranet
Please try to access the service again in a little while, if necessary.
21 March: Short interruptions in the Kanta Services possible
Time: 21 March 2024 between 9pm and 1am
Kanta-service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be interruptions in the use of the services.

23 March: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: 23 March 2024 between 7am and 7.30am
The Suomi.fi web service is undergoing technical maintenance, as a result of which there will be an interruption in the following services:
- Acting on behalf of another person
- MyKanta: logging in to the service
- Kanta Ekstranet
