Interruptions in the services in October 2022
Planned update and maintenance tasks that may result in interruptions to the use of the services during the month are published here. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
27 September – 3 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: between 27 September and 3 October 2022
Due to maintenance work carried out in Portugal, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:
- Delivery of e-prescriptions between Portugal and Finland
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
30 September – 3 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: between 30 September 10.20pm and 3 October 2022
Due to maintenance work carried out in Croatia, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:
- Delivery of e-prescriptions between Croatia and Finland
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
1 October: Interruption in the transmission of medical certificates and statements to Kela
Time: 1 October 2022 between 6am and 8pm
Due to scheduled system deployment at Kela, there will be interruptions in the transmission of electronic medical certificates and statements to Kela between 6am and 8pm.
During the interruption, medical certificates and statements cannot be transmitted from healthcare providers to Kela. Doctors should instead follow the standard instructions and print out any medical certificate they issue on paper, sign it manually, and hand it over to the patient.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
3 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: 3 October 2022 between 10am and 11am
Due to maintenance work carried out in the Kanta Services, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:
- Delivery of e-prescriptions between different EU countries

6 October: Interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible
Time: 6 October 2022 between 7am and 8am
Due to maintenance work carried out in the Valvira's service, there may be an interruption in the following Kanta services:
- Kelain service
- Valvira role and attribute service
The interruption to the service may have an impact on issuing prescriptions in the patient data system if the person issuing the prescription is subject to restrictions with regard to their professional practice rights.

13 October: Interruptions in the use of Kanta Services
Time: 13 October 2022 at 6am–6.15am
Due to maintenance measures carried out in the Suomi.fi web service, there may be interruptions in the following services:
- Acting on behalf of another person
- My Kanta Pages: logging in to the service
- Kanta PHR
- Kanta Ekstranet

16 October: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible
Time: 16 October 2022 between 6pm and 10pm
Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services:
- My Kanta Pages
- My Kanta Personal Health Record
- Kanta Extranet
- Kelain
- Printing of the EU Digital COVID Certificate from the patient data system or from the national printing and recording service.

20 October: Interruption in the Kanta Services
Time: 20 October between 9am and 10.30am
Due to maintenance work carried out in Estonian, there will be interruption in the following Kanta service:
- Delivery of e-prescriptions between Estonian and Finland

26 October: Short interruption in the use of Kanta Services possible
Time: 26 October 2022 between 6am and 8am
Kanta Service is undergoing technical maintenance work, due to which there may be short interruptions in the use of the services:
- Client data archive for social welfare services
- Archivist’s User Interface
