MyKanta shows information that is stored in the Kanta Services and concerns your visits and diagnoses. MyKanta shows data recorded in both public and private health care services. The information is visible in MyKanta as soon as the healthcare service provider has saved it in Kanta.
You can access your information in MyKanta in the ‘Terveystiedot’ section (Health information).
How to search for information in MyKanta
Log in to MyKanta at kanta.fi. You can identify yourself using online banking codes, for instance.
Select the ‘Terveystiedot’ (Health information) section in the menu.
By default, MyKanta shows health information for the past year, with the most recent dates listed first. In the "Muokattu viimeksi" (last modified) column, you can see when the visit data has been updated.
Information can be retrieved in different ways
By default, MyKanta shows your health information for the past year.
If you want to search for data older than one year:
- Select the desired start and end date.
- Click on the ‘Hae’ button (Search).
- MyKanta will show visit details for the period you selected.
If the quantity of data to be retrieved for the period given is too large, shorten the date interval for the search.
Frequently asked questions about visits to health care services
If you notice any errors or omissions in your health data shown in MyKanta, please contact the health care provider responsible for the entry directly. For example, if you attended an appointment at a health centre, corrections and additions to MyKanta entries related to that visit will also be made there. If you are dealing with a private clinic, report any incorrect entries directly to the clinic in question.
Health care service providers are responsible for recording and correcting data. For this reason, incorrect information shown in MyKanta cannot be rectified or updated by the Kanta Services.
The Health Information section in MyKanta shows information that the health care service professional who treated you has recorded in the Kanta Services. MyKanta shows information starting from the date from which the Kanta Services were taken into use by the health care service unit you are attending.
All public health care units use Kanta, but some private operators do not yet use the Kanta Services. Check which private health care organisations use Kanta.
If your visit data are not shown, it may also be due to the fact that the data have not yet been approved or entered by the health care service. The delay in storing data in the Kanta Services varies between organisations.
If treatment information is not visible in MyKanta within a reasonable time, please contact your health care service provider directly.
You will see your data in MyKanta once the health care unit responsible for your treatment has joined the Kanta Services and begun to enter patient data in Kanta. Health care services have been able to record data in Kanta from 2013 at the earliest.
Patient data that was entered before the health care unit joined the Kanta Services will not be shown in MyKanta.
