A technical problem has been discovered with the Prescription service
Due to the problem, it is not possible to withdraw denials of consent to sharing prescription data.
If a pharmacy cannot retrieve a prescription using the customer’s personal identity code, the prescription can still be retrieved by scanning the barcode on the patient instruction sheet for the prescription or a summary of the prescription printed from MyKanta.
The problem first appeared at 21.00 on 26 November 2024 and its cause is being investigated.
